I'm really excited and honored to work on the first book about my good friend Adam Silverman by Rizzoli coming out this fall!

Like many women in New York City, April Johnson, the founder of the fashion line Alasdair, can go on and on about the hours she’s spent searching for “the perfect jacket, the perfect shirt, the perfect dress.” At a certain point, after failing to find these well-designed staples in stores, Johnson, a former fashion stylist, began making them herself. That led to requests for copies from friends and then orders from local boutiques like Steven Alan, Bird and French Garment Cleaners Co.
For spring, Alasdair’s second season, Johnson has repeated many of the loose-fitting, easily adaptable silhouettes from her first collection, including a wrap dress with a sexy, plunging neckline and a pair of drapey legging trousers. She’s also added new pieces like a sweatshirt-style top with a sheer, gathered back. The silks and cotton gauzes are highly tactile, and the colors — like saturated navy or an intense mustard — seem striking without compromising on big-city sophistication. “This is a real New York girl’s uniform,” Johnson says.
I'm so proud of my friend April Johnson! Also she named a freakin blouse after me!
"katrina" blouse on the right! love.

Last week my son started school and it's making me all emotional.
This is what I've always wanted. I always wanted to pack a lunch and hold his hand and walk him to school. I wanted to think up Halloween costumes and carve pumpkins. I wanted a reason to watch cartoons again.
This is what I always wanted.

I did another collaboration with Jesse Kamm shooting the super talented and gorgeous photographer Hilary Walsh. What a pleasure to shoot Jesse's beautiful clothes and work with these rad women. We all have little boys around the same age and there was something nice about that too.
I'd like to thank Highland Park for giving us a tropical vibe. and Liz Bartlett for being all around great lady who gave us her time.

Jesse with the band.
I collaborated on a shoot with the super talented Jesse Kamm and the band HAIM. When Jesse told me about them I stopped listening after she said they were three sisters from the valley and yelled "I'M IN!". Turns out they make awesome music and are just about the coolest nicest ladies around.
All clothes by Jesse Kamm
The Lab magazine did an article so check it out!
